# Releases > What changed in each version of DooFiles, newest first, and how to check and update your version. Source: https://doothemes.com/docs/doofiles/releases --- ## Overview This page lists what changed in each version of DooFiles, newest first. **Your version** appears in the plugins list of WordPress and at the bottom of **DooFiles › Settings**. **Updates** arrive in **Dashboard › Updates** and in the plugins list, with your license active. Click **View details** to read what changed before you update. See [Installation](https://doothemes.com/docs/doofiles/installation#updating). Your settings, your activity log, the Trash and the backups are kept when you update. ## v1.0.5 — October 24, 2026 - **Versions…** in the right-click menu restores an earlier version of any file that has one, including images and zip files you replaced by uploading. Before, versions could only be restored from the editor. - In **DooFiles › Settings**, **List order** shows *Files* when the list is sorted by that column. - The warning of **Clear everything DooFiles saved in this browser** says that it also empties the uploads panel and its list of finished uploads. - The license agreement that comes with DooFiles is now complete and in English. ## v1.0.4 — October 24, 2026 - Uploads on slow connections behind Cloudflare no longer fail with a 502. Files over 1 MB go up in parts whose size adapts to your connection, and a part that fails is retried on its own. - The uploads panel is wider, so its footer fits on one line. - In the expanded uploads view, the progress bar of each file sits under its status. ## v1.0.3 — October 24, 2026 - A new uploads panel: follow, pause, resume, cancel or retry each file or all of them, in the In progress and Completed tabs. Drag it anywhere, minimize it or expand it. It remembers how you left it. - Large files go up in parts, so they can be larger than the upload limit of your server, up to the size you set (2 GB by default). Pausing continues from the last part. - Finished uploads stay in the Completed tab for 10 minutes, even after a reload. In the expanded view, sort them by name, size, speed or type. - A short chime when uploads finish, and a progress circle at the bottom of the panel. - The activity log keeps up to 50,000 entries by default, so it does not grow without end. Change it with **Most activity entries** in **DooFiles › Settings › Trash, backups and activity**. - The second factor dialog asks for your password first and then the code, and says exactly what was wrong and how many attempts are left. ## v1.0.2 — October 24, 2026 - DooFiles now needs an active license. Without one, you can only browse the folders. - Private folders: closed to the web, and open in DooFiles only to the administrators you choose. - A second factor with an authenticator app and recovery codes, which you can require for every administrator. - The Space view: the size of your site, its largest folders and files, and the size and number of files of each folder in the list. - The settings of the site can be changed in **DooFiles › Settings**, and every change is recorded in the activity log. - A shortcut in the WordPress toolbar with the total size of your site. - Click the name of the open folder in the breadcrumbs to reload it. ## v1.0.1 — October 23, 2026 - With your license active, the **License** card shows a short summary (plan, expiration and site), with the details one click away. ## v1.0.0 — October 23, 2026 - First release: browse your site with a folder tree and a file list, edit with the code editor of WordPress, preview Markdown, HTML and JSON files, and view images, videos and PDF files. - Upload files and folders, move them by dragging, and download, rename, create, compress, extract and search. - A Trash of its own, a backup of each file you save, and an activity log with every action. - Changes to code ask for your password, PHP files are checked for syntax errors before saving, and read-only mode turns on with `DISALLOW_FILE_EDIT` or `DISALLOW_FILE_MODS`. - Spanish translation.
