# Player and links

> How visitors watch and download your movies and episodes: the panel of links, the player on computers and phones, downloads with passwords, and premium links for members.

## Overview

The links of each movie and episode open in a panel, without leaving the page:

- **On a movie page**, the **Watch** and **Download** buttons open it. **Download** opens it at its own section.
- **On a TV show page**, each episode opens it. See [TV show page](https://doothemes.com/docs/wovie/pages/tv-show).

The panel has two sections:

| Section | Links | What happens on tap |
|---|---|---|
| **Watch** | Embed links | The video plays in the player |
| **Download** | Downloads and MP4 files | The link opens in a new tab |

## What each link shows

- **The language**, with its flag.
- **The server**, such as YouTube or MEGA.
- **The quality**, such as 1080p.
- **The file size**, on downloads that have one.
- **The password**, on downloads that have one. Tapping it copies it.
- **Premium**, on links reserved for members with a subscription.

The real address of a link never appears on the page: each one opens through Dbmovies, which checks premium access and counts the visit. See [How links reach your visitors](https://doothemes.com/docs/dbmovies/modules/link-sources#how-links-reach-your-visitors).

## The player

**On computers**, the video opens to the left of the panel, over the darkened page. The list of links hides so the video takes the whole width. A button at the corner of the video shows the list again, to change the link, and the **×** stops the video.

**On phones**, the video plays at the top of the panel, in the place of the image, without leaving the page.

The video stops when the visitor closes the panel or opens another episode. Full screen works with the button of each player.

## Downloads

Downloads and MP4 files open in a new tab, where the host of the file or the browser takes over. A visitor can also open any link in a new tab with **Ctrl** or **Cmd** + click.

## Premium links

A link marked as **Premium** is only for members with an active subscription:

- **Members with a subscription** open it like any other link.
- **Everyone else** goes to **Account › Membership** to subscribe. Visitors without an account sign in first and come back to Membership.

## When there are no links

A movie without published links still shows **Watch** and **Download**. The panel shows *No sources available*.

## Troubleshooting

| Problem | What to do |
|---|---|
| The panel shows *No sources available* | The title has no published links. Add them in Dbmovies, or check that they are **Published** |
| A link opens a blank or broken player | The host of the link no longer serves it. Check its health in **Dbmovies › Links** and replace it |
| A visitor with a subscription is sent to Membership | Their subscription is not active. Check it in **Dbmovies › Subscriptions** |
| A link is missing from a movie | A movie shows up to 50 links. Check that the link is **Published** |
| An MP4 file opens in a new tab instead of the player | MP4 files are listed in **Download** and open in a new tab, where the browser plays them |
