DooFiles
Media viewer
How to view images, videos and PDF files in full screen with DooFiles, move from one file to the next, zoom into large images, and open or download what you are viewing.
Overview
The media viewer shows images, videos and PDF files in full screen, over the file manager, without downloading them. You can move from one file to the next in the same folder, zoom into large images and play videos.

|---|---|

Open the viewer
- Click the name of an image, a video or a PDF file in the list.
- Or right-click it and choose Preview.
Move between files
The viewer goes through the images, videos and PDF files of the folder you have open, in the order of the list.
- Click the arrows on the sides, or press the Left and Right arrow keys, to see the previous or the next file.
- The counter at the top, such as 3 of 12, shows where you are.
The buttons of the viewer
| Button | What it does |
|---|---|
| Download | Downloads the file you are viewing |
| Open in a new tab | Opens the file in a new browser tab, at its full size |
| Close | Closes the viewer and goes back to the list |
You can also close the viewer by pressing Escape, or by clicking the dark background around the file.
Zoom into an image
When an image is larger than the screen, the viewer fits it to the screen first. Click the image to see it at its real size, and scroll to move around it. Click it again, or press Escape, to fit it to the screen again.
Videos
Videos play in the viewer with the controls of your browser: play, pause, volume, full screen and the timeline. You can jump to any point of a long video without waiting for the whole file to download.
Whether a video plays depends on your browser. MP4 and WebM files play in every current browser. MOV files play only when they use a format that your browser supports. If a video does not play, download it or open it in a new tab.
PDF files
PDF files open in the PDF viewer of your browser, inside DooFiles, with its own tools to move between pages and zoom.
If your browser cannot show PDF files inside a page, the viewer tells you: This browser cannot show PDF files inside the page. Click Open in a new tab to see it.
