Wovie
Person page
The page of each person of your catalog, actor, director or creator: their profile, their statistics, the titles they are known for and their full filmography on your site.
Overview
Each actor, director and creator of your catalog has a page that gathers their career on your site. Visitors reach it from the cast of any movie or TV show. From top to bottom, it shows:
- The profile: photo, name, details, links and biography.
- The statistics.
- Known For: their best rated titles.
- Filmography: every title they appear in on your site.
When a visitor opens a person from the cast of a title, their photo appears right away, and the full-quality image replaces it as soon as it loads.

The profile
- Above the name: the departments of the person, such as Acting or Directing, and how many credits they have on your site.
- The details: the year they were born, with their age, the year they died, their birthplace and their gender. For a person who died, the page also shows their years of life with In memory.
- Website and social profiles: IMDb, Instagram, Facebook, X, TikTok and YouTube, the ones they have.
- The biography, with Show more when it is long.
The statistics
They appear when the person has titles on your site.
| Statistic | What it counts |
|---|---|
| Credits | Every title of the person on your site |
| Movies | Their movies |
| TV Shows | Their TV shows |
| Age | Their age. For a person who died, Years lived |
Known For
Up to six of their titles, the best rated first (Top rated work). Only titles that have a rating count, and the section appears when at least four of them do.
Filmography
Every movie and TV show of the person on your site, the most recently published first. The page shows 20, and the next ones load as the visitor scrolls down. If they cannot load, Retry tries again.
A person with no titles on your site shows No credits indexed yet, with a link to your latest releases.

Where the data comes from
Dbmovies imports each person from TMDb the first time they appear in a title: photo, biography, dates, birthplace, website and social profiles. To change something, edit the person in Movies › Persons. See Persons in the Dbmovies documentation, where you also find how to change the address of the person pages.
Troubleshooting
| Problem | What to do |
|---|---|
| The page shows No credits indexed yet | No published title of your site lists the person. Persons that no title uses are cleaned up by Dbmovies: see Cleanup orphaned persons |
| Known For does not appear | Fewer than four of their titles have a rating |
| The biography or the photo is missing | TMDb has none for that person. Add them in the editor of the person, in Movies › Persons |
| A social profile is missing | Add the handle in the editor of the person |
