Wovie

Collection page

The page of each collection: its summary, its own rating, the cast that repeats across its titles, and the list of its titles with three sort orders. This page explains each part and where it comes from.

Last updated: Oct 22, 2026

Overview

A collection groups related titles, such as a saga or a franchise. Its page shows, from top to bottom:

  1. The hero: the name, a summary and the synopsis of the collection.
  2. The rating of the collection, and its main genres.
  3. Recurring cast: the people who appear in several of its titles.
  4. In this collection: its titles, in the order the visitor chooses.
  5. The comments.

You create collections and add their titles in Dbmovies. See Collections.

The hero

  • The backdrop changes between the backdrops of the titles of the collection, every 9 seconds.
  • The summary line shows the years the collection covers and how many movies and TV shows it has, such as 2008–2025 · 24 movies · 4 TV shows.
  • The rating: visitors rate the collection itself, from 1 to 10, with its own votes. See User ratings.
  • The genres: the three most common genres of its titles. Each one opens its page.
  • The synopsis, with Show more when it is long.
  • My list and Share, as on a movie page.

Recurring cast

The people who appear in two or more titles of the collection, up to 20, from the one in the most titles. Under each name, the character they play most often, or Director or Creator for the people behind the camera. Each person opens their page.

It only appears when at least three people repeat across the titles.

In this collection

The titles of the collection, with Load more to see the rest. Each poster shows the rating of the title and its quality and language badges, and below it, its year and age rating.

Visitors choose the order:

OrderWhat it does
Newest firstThe latest releases first. It is the order the list opens with
Release orderFrom the first release to the last, the order to watch a saga
Top ratedThe best rated first, by the rating of each title on your site

To change how many titles load at a time, see Collections list in the Dbmovies documentation (12 by default).

In the member account

Members can save a collection to My list and rate it. In their account, a collection shows the poster of its first title and its number of titles. See Account.

Where it comes from

Everything on this page comes from the collection in Dbmovies: its name and synopsis, its titles and their order. Dbmovies prepares the summary (years, number of movies and TV shows, genres and recurring cast) when you add, change or remove a title of the collection. See Adding titles to a collection.

The summary, the sort orders and the recurring cast need Dbmovies 1.3.36 or later. With an older Dbmovies, the page shows the number of titles and the list in a fixed order. See Requirements.
